My idea of what user experience has totally changed after reading Koen Claes presentation. It now makes sense why people design things the way they do and advertise the way they do. I always wondered why some websites were designed the way they were. Some are so different from the others that I use but that is the point and the reasoning behind it. The connection between are group making are page and someone creating a website is huge. Both are trying to accomplish the same thing, both want people to enjoy their time, and to keep coming back to both. And its true we wanted are page to be easy to use and enjoyable, but also memorable for the user. And I feel we accomplished that by using many of the techniques talked about in Koen’s presentation. As we were designing are page we really tried to focus on making it simple and to the point, which I think we fully accomplished. I do believe that are page is memorable, many people can relate to are page and what we talk about in are pages. The pictures that we took paint a picture of what are community is all about and connects the user to the community. For me it is exactly what I meant to design, I was picturing a simple design but what was there and said was very interesting and important.
